Iron & Wine will appear on The Late Show with David Letterman on October 5, 2007.  The show starts at 11:35 EST on CBS.  Musical act will air last after the interviews.

Boy with a Coin, almost certainly. A surprise would be nice though.

Letterman is one of the few shows where bands sound really good and the show is actually watchable. I hate sitting through Leno or Craig Ferguson to watch a shitty sounding mix of a good performance by a band I like. If it's on Jimmy Kimmel I just wait until it's on youtube the next day.

The choice is usually predictable. I agree about Letterman. Usually a good performance quality.

Leno sucks all around. Anyway, we're talking about the quality of sound that comes out of the television broadcast, not how much the band sucks.

I wouldn't know who usually has good performers or not since I only watch late night talk shows when I already know someone I like is going to be on.
