I never saw the Letterman show; what happened?

EDIT: I just YouTubed it and I see nothing wrong with it: I really liked that rendition of it, to be honest. Or did something happen that wasn't shown on the YouTube video?

you must have seen the second take. in the first take sam came out with the transiberian orchestra and started wailing this totally awesome guitar solo and then walked over to letterman and kicked him right in the nuts. but, i guess dave didn't think it was good, so they did the take that you saw on youtube.

Hm, interesting. I thought it was enjoyable. I don't particularly like the song choice, but what he did with it was excellent.

i think it's poartially because the devil never sleeps is probably my least favourite song from TSD and because i was veeeery unimpressed with the guitar solo.

Did anyone else crack up when Sam shook Terry Bradshaw's hand? For some reason I found it hilarious

Just watched it on Leno, it was quite fantastic. Though, I am still bitter about the song being introduced as being on the twilight soundtrack. I never thought in a million years I would see Terry Bradshaw and Sam shake hands. haha

i think we all are. however jay leno will get thousands more female teenage viewers if he mentions the word twilight, so i can hardly blame him.

I just checked it out on hulu.  Pretty ballsy to start a song on national tv with no accompaniment!
